One week into the new immune system. Pretty crazy to think that my body's immunity is actually about the equivalent of a new born baby - just inside a 40 year old's body!
Its been a pretty quiet day here, with snowflakes falling outside, and a very tired and worn out ME :). I spend most of today under the covers and napping. Gearing up for a trip to the hospital tomorrow for the first official "measurement" of how things are going.
Feeling relieved that I won't have any big issues to report to the doctors, and hoping for blood work and other indications that all is headed in the right direction.
As I lit my RBG menorah tonight, I couldn't help but be reminded of her total badass life - yes she was a trail-blazing feminist, an incredible Supreme Court justice, a wife, mother, and grandmother - but also a MULTIPLE time cancer survivor, over multiple decades of her life. She lived to be 87 years old! Small in stature (like many great women I know) her fight was always so BIG - such a great inspiration then and now.

What's Entertaining Us:
We are in and out of lots of shows right now, including:
The Shrink Nextdoor - AppleTV
Atypical - Netflix
Sinner - Netflix
And Sherry is watching MAID - (which I've already seen, and would say it required viewing for all, especially the United States Senate, as I believe it should inspire them to pass the the Build Back Better Bill!)
What I'm Grateful For:
Grilled Cheese on Pepperidge Farm VERY THIN bread. These miniature grilled cheese sandwiches, first introduced to me by my Grandma Rosie, and prepared tonight by my Mom seems to have truly hit the spot!
Chateau Paradiso being 100% safe from Omicron (I've gotten a bit swept up in this new variant, but must remember just how safe I am out here on Friess Lake)
Cozy everything...Friends who have sent cozy slippers, blankets, pajamas, wedding planning magazines, and beautiful flowers. So appreciative for all the thoughtful get-well love.
